Scars heal faster when your treatment includes moisturizing and soothing properties. One such example is aloe vera. Aloe vera contains antioxidants that reduce swelling and redness. At the same time, it also contains natural astringent that helps in removing excess oil and dead skin cells. The uses of aloe vera are not limited to treating sunburns alone. Just scrape the contents off the leaf then lather it on your scar while covering in plastic wrap.

Coconut Oil

As long as any oil contains omega fatty acids, it will be able to penetrate and moisturize the skin. Coconut oil works great at this and can even make your skin glow. It is highly recommended to add it to your daily regimen. Just dab a bit of coconut oil under your eyes, lips, and brows to make your face look naturally fresh but don’t overdo it as it may cause breakouts here and there.

Baking Soda

Baking soda acts as a natural exfoliator by maintaining the pH balance in your skin. It removes dead skin cells in a harmless way while leaving you refreshed after rinsing. Make a paste by using two parts of water and one part baking soda then scrub it on the desired area.

Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple cider vinegar is an all-around ingredient that is used from cleaning solutions to skincare. When treating acne scars, mix it with honey then apply it to the desired area using a Q-tip for 10 minutes. Do this thrice a day to achieve the best results.

Onion extract is another acne scar treatment if you don’t mind the quick sting right after applying it. It contains bioflavonoids that are well known for reducing scars for only a few weeks. You can also use this for acne treatment to reduce inflammation and redness.

Honey

Honey stimulates tissue regeneration that’s why it is recommended to be added in your skincare regimen. Additionally, it contains natural moisturizing properties that help your skin look smooth and clear. The darker the honey the more powerful its medicinal properties contain.

Lemon

Lemon contains alpha-hydroxy acids (AHA) that jumpstart the healing process of your skin. This remedy is a natural bleach that helps in cell regeneration in order to return your skin’s elasticity back. Just cut a lemon in half then rub it over the affected area then leave it for 15 minutes before rinsing.

Turmeric Powder

Turmeric powder contains a chemical compound called for curcumin that functions as an antioxidant and has anti-inflammatory properties. The compound stops excess production of melanin that is the main cause of making your skin look darker. Turmeric powder makes your skin glow and is a perfect antiseptic that smoothens your skin without adding any irritation. Just add it with honey in equal parts then leave it for 20 minutes on the affected area. Rinse thoroughly afterward.
